Becoming a massage therapist is an exciting, fun, and rewarding
challenge in which you will experience life changing personal growth while
creating a great career for yourself helping and caring for others.
The Utah College of Massage Therapy, with campuses in Salt Lake City and Utah
Valley, is proud to offer you state-of-the-art training in massage and bodywork
therapies and highly effective career services placement through exclusive
recruiting visits and job fairs with industry-leading massage employers.
The Utah College of Massage Therapy is one of the Utah College of Massage
Therapy Family of Schools, one of the largest massage schools in the country,
with over 8,600 graduates from its six campuses in Utah, Nevada, Arizona, and Colorado.
In just seven months a Utah College of Massage Therapy (UCMT) graduate
can have a great job working almost anywhere in the country. Today, there
are more opportunities for UCMT graduates than ever before, including: sports
massage, clinical massage, corporate massage, private practice, the medical field,
infant massage, rehabilitation, health and wellness centers, and geriatric massage.
No matter which field you choose, the possibilities are endless.
One of the most exciting things to happen to massage therapy recently is
the explosion of the spa and resort industry. Typically, spas depend on massage
therapy for 50-70% of their income, which creates a huge demand for fully-trained
and qualified UCMT graduates. With the current rate of growth, thousands of UCMT
graduates are needed to fill these career opportunities all over the world. Massage
therapy at spas and resorts is an incredible opportunity, with entry level positions
usually paying between $25,000 and $50,000 a year. The benefits available to employees
are outstanding. For example, imagine a career at ski resorts like Vail or Aspen with
free season passes and on-mountain services. Or picture yourself working and living at
a resort in Jamaica, Tahiti, or Hawaii with golf, scuba diving, sailing, and more,
right outside your door.
If you're serious about getting your dream job, UCMT can help make it happen ... just
seven months from today. The UCMT Family of Schools Career Services Department is staffed
by fourteen full-time career counselors who's only job is to start you in a fantastic new
career. Massage employers visit UCMT's job fairs several times a year to recruit therapists
for their operations, and many of our students are placed even before they graduate.
Our commitment to academic excellence.
The UCMT Family of Schools programs exceed the National Certification Board for
Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork standards, and most state, county, and municipal
requirements for massage therapy licensure.
A quality education you can trust.
UCMT is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education (ACCET).
UCMT offers financial aid grants and loans.
We don't want your finances to interfere with your goal of becoming a massage
therapist. UCMT is eligible to participate in Federal Title IV financial assistance
programs for qualified students. In addition to federally funded financial aid, UCMT
offers qualified students financial assistance through Career Financial Services, Inc.,
an independent lending institution.
