Danielle Ratliff is a Licensed Massage & Bodywork Therapist (#12394), Owner and General Manager of Serenity Now Massage Therapy, and a Registered Dietitian (#963163).  She is Certified in Neuromuscular Therapy and Pregnancy Massage.  Danielle is a caring professional who will guide you through your journey towards serenity using intuitive touch and a thorough knowledge of human anatomy and neuromuscular therapy.  She uses her skills and knowledge to help those who suffer from chronic pain, emotional stress or just need a bit of serenity added to their lives.  

Danielle graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2005 with a Bachelors of Science of Public Health in Nutrition and a minor in Chemistry while performing as a Majorette with the Marching Tarheels.  She completed her Dietetic Internship Program through Meredith College in 2006 and her “Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management” from the American Dietetic Association in June 2008.  Danielle graduated from the NC School of Massage in 2012 with an additional Certification in Neuromuscular Therapy.  She completed the Nurturing the Mother Certificate in Prenatal and Postnatal Massage in 2014. 

Danielle was an Instructor at the NC School of Massage for courses including Anatomy & Physiology, Pathology, Swedish Massage, and Somatic Psychology.  She has been called on as a public nutrition expert, appearing in several TV News segments including Charlotte’s WBTV Channel 3 News "Hip to be Healthy", lecturing at eleven professional conferences and community events between 2008 to 2011, and serving as a guest contributor for Lake Norman Woman magazine.  She served two years as Program Planner for the Charlotte Dietetic Association Executive Board.

Danielle was named one of Lake Norman's 100 Most Powerful Women by the Huntersville Herald in 2015.  Danielle was awarded one of Lake Norman Woman Magazine's 2013 Women of Will Finalist Awards in honor of her leadership, determination, courage, integrity, and commitment to enhancing the lives of others.  She volunteers with Safe Alliance, a non-profit organization with a "vision of communities where people are empowered to build and sustain healthy and respectful relationships and enjoy lives free of domestic and sexual violence and child abuse."  Specifically, she shares her story as a sexual assault survivor and serves as Co-Chair of Safe Alliance's annual benefit, An Evening of Hope & Healing.  

Danielle is a Certified Member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals, a professional organization for licensed massage therapists.  In addition, she serves on the Board of Directors as Vice President for the Executive Women of Lake Norman, an organization of professional women who are "Lady Leaders of the Lake".  Danielle also serves on the Board of Directors for Suzie's Pride Inc, a non-profit Sanctuary and Rescue for Big Cats located in Rockwell, NC.

In her spare time, Danielle enjoys gardening, playing the piano, and creating homemade lotions, bath salts, and candles.  She works out at Pure Barre and is an avid supporter of local music.  At the end of each day, she is thankful to return home to her husband and four feline “fur-children” of the domestic variety.
