Hey Friends!
I am currently seeing clients out of All That Matters, a wellness center and yoga studio in Wakefield, RI. I'm also continuing Island Massage Therapy in the Newport/Middletown/Portsmouth area as a housecall service.
Drawing on 13 years of experience in the field of Holistic Bodywork, Melinda incorporates an understanding and love of anatomy with an intuitive touch of either deep or gentle pressure. During her Holistic Massage Program (650 hours) in 2000 she was introduced to the study and practice of Polarity Therapy, which draws from the wisdom of Ayurveda, Chinese Medicine, and working with the energy field. In 2010 she completed her Polarity Therapy training (750 hours) and is currently enrolled in a 200- hour Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training. Melinda is also a Doula and has recently attended births at both rural and urban clinics in Honduras.
Believing that our bodies are a microcosm of the earth, containing all of itselements in various expressions of balance or imbalance, Melinda brings that elemental quality to her work, facilitating the alignment of our systems back into harmony and ease. Having spent many years in private practice on Block Island, Melinda is happy to be working back on the mainland at All That Matters.
