Welcome to my ABMP website!  I am a New York State licensed massage therapist since 2009 and a graduate of the holistic Finger Lakes School of Massage (FLSM) in Ithaca, New York.  I am nationally certified by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworks (NCBTMB).

My speciality is Myofascial Release (MFR) as taught by John F. Barnes, PT and have taken all but one of his 17 training seminars.  MFR releases restrictions in the body's connective tissue system (fascia) using a variety of specialized techniques that provide significant pain relief, scar release, improved range of motion as well as emotional release beyond what conventional massage techniques can accomplish.

I am also a certified Ayurvedic Health Coach having earned my Master of Science in Maharishi AyurVeda and Integrative Medicine from Maharishi University of Management (MUM), in Iowa.  Maharishi Mahesh Yogi founded MUM in 1973 and revived Ayurveda, which literally means "Science of Life" and is the world's most ancient complete system of natural health care that enlivens the body's inner intelligence allowing for self healing to take place.  Ayurveda is prevention oriented because it can detect imbalances long before they develop into manifest disease while also helping to support the body when disease has advanced to the manifest stage and requiring medical treatment.

In addition, I am a certified teacher of the Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique as taught by Maharishi.  TM is a simple, natural and effortless technique that is easy to learn and its effectness in relieving deep rooted stresses in the mind and body has been documented by more than 600 scientific research studies published in peer reviewed journals around the world.  Removal of deep rooted stresses takes the nervous systme out of "fight or flight" mode thus providing for more normal functioning of the system resulting in improvements in mind, body and behavior.
