At the age of 47 I had my midlife crisis and left 20+ years as a corporate accounts payable manager. After 2 years of searching for my new path, I entered the massage program at Loraine’s Academy in St. Petersburg, FL. I became licensed in January, 2014 and have never looked back. Massage school was an incredible experience, and the massage “world” is truly amazing. The second major life change for me then came in October of 2014 when I attended my first SMRT class with Dawn Lewis of Full Circle (www.efullcurcle.com), followed up by a 90 minute SMRT session on my arms and hands. Instantly I knew that SMRT would forever be an integral part of my massage practice. Having the opportunity to help teach this modality to other therapists, as well as helping clients ease a lifetime of chronic pain, is both humbling and amazing.
